Mali - Apply for a National Scholarship


Procedure

Apply In-Person

  1. The Ministry of Higher Education and Research post scholarship application filing opening and deadline for submission of the application files (both hard copy and electronic application) on the National Center for University Works (CENOU) website and in the local gazette/media stations.
  2. Applicant students should visit the National Center for University Works (CENOU) customer service desk and collect the application form
  3. Please note, the applicant student has one month to complete the process from the date of opening of his/her institution.
  4. Submit the completed form, scholarship request addressed to the National Directorate of the CNOUS (National Center for University Works) along with the supporting documents as listed under (“required document section below”) to the CENOU branch agency receptionist desk. Note Application file submitted after the expiring of the deadline will be rejected.
  5. Upon receiving the application files the department responsible of scholarship at the CENOU will sort out the files by the academies, verify and process them.
  6. A list of the scholarship Beneficiaries will be published on the CENOU website, if your request is approved you should contact or visit the CENOU for further instructions.


Apply Online

  1. Visit the National Center for University Works (CENOU) Link and log in if you already have an account, if you don’t have an account click on “don’t have an account? Click here”
  2. Upon login in fill out all mandatory fields and submit the application file to be reviewed and processed by the CENOU scholarship department.
  3. Upon receiving the application file the department responsible of scholarship at the CENOU will sort out the application file by the academies, verify and process them.
  4. A list of the scholarship Beneficiaries will be published on the CENOU website, if your request is approved you should contact or visit the CENOU for further instructions.


Please note

  • The filing of the request through hierarchical channels is possible.
  • Incomplete, inaccurate, inadequate filling of the application form or non-submission of documents requested for may lead to disqualification.
  • In case your request is denied, you can send only one complaint request and it must be handwritten, upon receiving the complaint, your scholarship application file will be subjected to a second check by the CENOU.




Required Documents

General required documents:

  • A birth certificate extract
  • The transcript of the baccalaureate.
  • If applicable: a parent's death certificate, disability or illness certificate (such as leprosy, tuberculosis, HIV etc.)


For new baccalaureate holders:

  • A certified photocopy of the national identity card
  • A certified photocopy of the student card


For new students:

  • A completed scholarship application form
  • A photocopy of the identity card
  • A certified photocopy of the baccalaureate diploma
  • A certified photocopy of the last certificate of achievement
  • A photocopy of the registration certificate

Eligibility

The scholarship award criteria are contained in a document available at CENOU website: Link

  • Any Malian student regularly enrolled in a higher establishment and under the age of 25. The student must present his national registration number.
  • Please note: Baccalaureate holders as free candidates cannot claim a national scholarship.
