Malaysia - Apply for Border Pass to Thailand


Procedure

  1. To apply for a Malaysia Border Pass to Thailand, go to any Malaysian immigration offices at the border post.
  2. You will be required to fill the application form (Form Imm 92) submit it with the respective documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  3. Once you hand over all the documents, the counter clerk will go through your documents and if there is no issue with your application, you pay the required fee and then you are issued a Border Pass.

    • One (1) copy of applicant’s recent photograph

    • Birth Certificate
    • Form A1/B1 – parental consent form


  • Under 18 years old
    • One (1) copy of applicant’s recent photograph
    • Application form
    • Identification Card
    • Form A1/B1 – parental consent form
    • Previous Border Pass (if any)


  • Above 18 years
    • One (1) copy of applicant’s recent photograph
    • Application form
    • Identification Card
    • Previous Border Pass (if any)

Malaysian citizens and permanent residents of Malaysia (Thai origin) residing in the State of Kelantan, Perakm, Perlis, or Kedah for more than three (3) years.

Border Pass to Thailand - RM10.00




Validity

A Border Pass to Thailand is valid for one year from the date of issue and valid for multiple journeys and after that time frame, the applicant is supposed to apply for a new one.

Instructions

  • The application can be done at immigration border posts.
  • The applicant must submit evidence that he/she resides in either of the bordering states.
  • Applicants under the age of 12 years should be accompanied by mother or father.
  • Husband and wife are required to apply for Border Pass separately.
  • The copy of the applicant's recent photograph should be as follows;
    • white background,
    • the hair of the applicant does not cover the forehead, and
    • dark veil/hood/hijab (Muslim women)
