1. Report the lost of the passport to the police. The police will issue a report regarding the incident. You will need to present this report when you apply for a new passport.
2. Applications to replace a lost or stolen passport must be submitted together with the police report to the passport office. Note: Contact information of Immigration Offices and diplomatic missions of Malawi abroad are provided below.
3. Pay the application fee.

• One filled passport form and a passport size photograph.
• Police Report and Report of Lost form.

• Child Passport: valid for 5 years and is issued to children under the age of 10 years
• Temporary Passport: 6 months
