Apply In-Person

1. Visit the Department of Animal Health and Livestock Development in your region to obtain the application forms and a list of all required documents
2. Gather and prepare all the required documents and fill the application form correctly and Address it to the director of the department
3. Pay the prescribe fees for the application and attach the receipt to the application
4. Submit the complete application to the department for validation
5. The receiving officer will verify your application and if it correct, forward it to the back office for processing
6. The director will assign an inspector, to conduct inspection on your premises and the consignment
7. The inspector will conduct the inspection and obtain the necessary results then forward them to the director
8. The director will review the provided information and make an informed decision based on it and chose to approve your application or not
9. If he approved, the permit will be processed and issued to you in accordance with the prescribed law.

Application by Proxy

• If you intend to submit your application through an agent, the agent must be a local representative duly recognised in writing to do so. All the names of the directors or partners of a company must be included in the application

• No hide or skin may be exported except through a prescribed port or exit point.
• For applications made by corporations, they must be made by the managing director or by the secretary or by the local representative duly authorized in writing by such corporation to make the same, and stating all the names of the directors in the application.
