1. To apply for a transit visa applicant has to approach the nearest Malawian embassy. Contact Link
2. The applicant can collect the application form for Transit Visa from the nearest Malawian embassy or download it using this link MALAWIAN VISA APPLICATION FORM  Link
3. At the time of receiving the form, the applicant has to pay the Visa applicant fees as mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
4. Then, the applicant has to enter all the required details in the application form.
5. After that, the applicant has to attach all the required documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below.
6. The applicant has to book an appointment at the Embassy.
7. On the date of the appointment, the applicant has to bring documents and a Visa fee receipt.
8. Once all of this is done, the officer at the Malawian embassy checks all the documents of the applicant, if satisfied, then the officer will issue the Transit visa within 3 to 7 working days.

• Certificates that prove that the applicant has sufficient money for accommodation in Malawi.
• A valid passport must be valid at least for 6 months with effect from the date of entry into Malawi.
