Apply In-Person:

1. To get the permission from police to gift a weapon, the applicant shall visit the State Crime Records Bureau, Maharashtra.
2. The address and contact details of the office can be found in the following link: Link
3. Visit the Office and get the Application form from the relevant department, asking permission from the police to gift a weapon or you can download the application form the following link: Link
4. Please fill the application with essential information and details and it should be attested with the applicant’s signature.
5. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed in “Required Documents” section of this page. Attach all the important documents mentioned.
6. Then, it should be submitted to the relevant authority. Also pay the required fees for the application process at the office as directed by the officials
7. You will be called for a face to face interview with the chief inspectorate about the weapon and about the arm’s license of the applicant and the receiver.
8. And your application and attached documents will be passed for verification to check if there is any deficiency.
9. After all the processes are completed, concerned officials will approve the application and proceed with granting permission to gift respective weapon.
10. Once the permission is granted, office will inform the applicant to collect it through any applicable means.

• Proof for zero criminal records on both the applicant and the receiver
• Copy of Purchase details of the weapon
• Copy of the weapon manufacture details
• NOC from Tahseldar of your area
• Copy of Arm’s License of the applicant
• Copy of Arm’s License of the receiver of weapon
• Verification report
• No objection certificate ( if applicable)
• Sworn Affidavit by the applicant of passport size photograph (attested)
