Apply through CSC

  1. To Download or View Death Certificate, the applicant has to approach the nearest CSC link
    NOTE: To check the contact details of CSC centre, please select the District and Block.
  2. The applicant has to visit the nearest centre.
  3. The applicant has to inform all the details to the respective officer.
  4. The officer will enter the details in the portal with the given details.
  5. The applicant will get the downloaded certificate from the officer.
  6. To Download or View the Death Certificate, the fee is free of cost.
  7. The processing time for this procedure is within a minute.

Need for the Document

  • A death certificate is either a legal document issued by a medical practitioner which states when a person died, or a document issued by a government civil registration office, that declares the date, location and cause of a person's death, as entered in an official register of deaths.




Information which might help

  • Death certificate helps in closing bank accounts, claiming insurance, selling property of the deceased or any work related to banks. It is also required for property transfer or property tax payment. If the deceased is the owner of a property, then succession certificate will be required in the absence of a 'Will'.
