Maharashtra - Apply for Repair License under Weights and Measure

Those who wanted to do carry on repair and maintenance business in weight and measure, then they have to apply for the repair license with the respective state legal metrology department
Apply Online - Maharashtra Apply for Repair License under Weights and Measure Online with Images

  1. Go to the online portal : online portal
  2. In the given page please click “login” button under “New repairer license” to get login page.
  3. Please enter the user name, password and click “Login” button to login.
    1. If you are a new user then use the “Register New User” option and follow the registration page prompts to complete the registration process and then login.
  4. Once login, applicant will get a new page.
  5. Please fill in all the relevant details as per page prompts
  6. Upload required documents as per the prompt.
  7. Pay necessary fee and submit the application.
  8. A system generated acknowledgement will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  9. An SMS alert will be sent to the applicant regarding application submission.
  10. Application will be forwarded online to the concerned authority.
  11. After scrutiny by the Assistant Controller, short fall in the documentation if any will be intimated through SMS along with the date of inspection.
  12. The premises will be inspected by the concerned Legal Metrology Officer and documents in original will be verified and security deposit if applicable if any would be collected.
  13. The Application will be forwarded online to the issuing authority concerned.
  14. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
  15. If approved, certificate will be delivered as per applicable norms.



Apply In-Person:

  1. Applicant shall approach office of the designated local Legal Metrology Officer / Assistant Controller of Legal Metrology for the district under whose dominion the proposed unit is located.
  2. Link for contact details : link use the contact number to get office address.
  3. Go to the office.
  4. Obtain the application form or write on a A4 sheet as advised.
  5. After filling/completing application form attach all the required documents as per our required document section.
  6. Submit the document set along with required/applicable fee to the receiving authority.
  7. Submitted application will be verified by the authorities. If all are in place, application will be accepted.
  8. Applicant will get an acknowledgement for the submission of application.
  9. This application will be handed over to the inspection team/authority (Local Senior Inspector/Inspector). They will conduct the inspection of premises proposed by the applicant and also verify the documents. Once they finished their due diligence a report along with application will be sent to the Licensing department.
  10. After review of the submitted application and report the licensing authority may constitute a committee to examine and test the capability and competence of the applicant to repair the weights and measure, accordingly the committee prepares and sends its report to the license issuing authority.
  11. The licensing authority after examining the application and finding it suitable for grant of License, may require the applicant to deposit the License fee.
  12. Once the fee is deposited and copy thereof received in the Assistant Controller’s office, he will issue the license in the prescribed format.
  13. Applicant gets notification about the approval. License will be delivered as per applicable norms.
  14. If the license is refused due to non-compliance of all or any of the requirements, the decision duly reasoned shall be communicated within 15 days to the applicant.


NOTE:
  • The applicant is required to furnish an experience certificate (skilled worker / proprietor / Partner / Director of the firm or certificate from I.T.I in Instrument Mechanic & Electronics) for at least one year for the items applied for Repairing.
  • The premises should be suitable and adequate (not less than the area as prescribed)



Apply Online through Aaplesarkar

  1. To apply online, the applicant shall follow the given aaple sarkar link: Link and click on the "New User? Register Here" tab.
  2. From the given options, select any one mode to create User ID and Password.
  3. Now verify UID or Create your own user profile using OTP verification on your mobile.
  4. A new page will open up where the applicant has to fill up all the personal detail(Name, D.O.B, Age, Gender, etc) in the portal.
  5. Now enter the address as per the document.
  6. After that provide mobile number and OTP, PAN No., UID No., and confirm password.
  7. Now upload a photograph between 5kB to 20kB in JPEG format.
  8. Now choose from the drop now menu any one of the Proof of Identity.
  9. Finally provide a Proof of Address by clicking from the menu on screen.
  10. Click on the declaration box and then click the "Register" tab.
  11. After login, click Link and then click on “Apply”.
  12. The applicant will get an application displayed.
  13. Fill up the application form correctly and pay the requisite fee.
  14. On completion, the applicant will be notified.
  15. You can check the status of the application in the portal by signing in with User ID and password.



Apply through Mobile APP:

  1. To apply via app, the applicant shall download the app from the given link: Link
  2. Select the preferred language
  3. A list of options will be provided from which the applicant must choose the concerned department
  4. Now a list of services will be displayed from which the applicant must select the required service
  5. The applicant must also provide the nature of service verification and click on “Apply” to proceed to verification
  6. Once verified, the applicant will be informed about the further process.



Apply Through Centres:

  1. To apply for Repair License under Weights and Measure through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre/sewa kendra. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
  2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  3. An application form can be obtained through the kiosk operator upon visiting the centre.
  4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
  5. Submit the application form with “Required Documents” to the office. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  6. The operator will process the application online.
  7. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  8. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page and collect the receipt.
  9. An ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
  10. Upon the satisfaction of the authorities, the permission will be granted according to the application.

  • Employee Copies of Appointment Letters with photographs, Qualification and Experience Certificate, if any;
  • Machineries, Tools and Accessories list with purchase bill.
  • GST Registration Certificate.
  • Professional Tax Registration Certificate
  • Valid Labour Licence.
  • 2 Passport size photo.
  • Authenticated document regarding Proprietorship
  • In case the firm is not a proprietorship concern the firm should submit a copy of Partnership deed duly attested by First Class Magistrate / Notary / Oath Commissioner and in case of Private Company or Limited Company, Memorandum of Association approved by the Ministry of Company Affairs, Govt. of India.
  • Premises - ownership documents/ registered rent or leave license agreement or lease agreement NOC from the owner / NOC of the member if the premise is owned by family member.
  • PAN card
  • Self-declaration about whether the Applicant has violated any of the provisions of Legal Metrology Act, 2009 or rules made there under.
  • Latest electricity bill.
  • Aadhar card of directors

Self-attested copy of the applicable documents should be attached

  • The shop premises should be suitable and adequate and must be of independent entrance without opening any residential part of the premises.
  • Don’t forget to take all the originals of the document along with copy for applying.
  • Better inform a chartered accountant and take his assistance.
  • Ensure that application is complete before submission.
