Apply In-Person

1. To Obtain a Duplicate Driver License, the applicant has to approach the RTO office Please follow our “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page to get details of the RTO offices. Link for RTO contacts: link
2. The applicant has to get the application form by visiting the office.
3. Also make sure the applicant has to attach the necessary documents which is mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The applicant should make sure they are eligible for applying duplicate driver license
   
5. Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application and issue the duplicate driver license and the satisfactory result of verifications
6. Fee for this procedure is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. The processing time for this procedure is within same day.

Apply through State Portal - Madhya Pradesh Obtain a Duplicate Driver License online with Images

1. In order to apply online, please follow the link online state portal link
   
2. Select “License application and appointment system” option in the drop down menu under “Online services”.
   
3. In the next window, please select the Duplicate/Lost under DL- Driving License section to get the next page
   
4. Here enter the prompted details and hit “apply” to go to the next screen
   
5. Here, enter / select prompted details and complete the page by selecting appropriate option.
   
6. Also one can pay the fees through the page
   
7. Upon completion, an application slip will be generated. Take the printout and go to RTO office on appointment day to complete the procedure.
   
8. At the RTO office, Present the print out of application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
   
9. From this point the process of apply in person will be carried out to grant duplicate license

1. Driving licence issued is valid throughout India.
   
2. Driving licence is issued for 20 years or 50 years of age whichever is earlier.
   
3. Driving licence issued for transport vehicle will be valid for three years.

The application with above documents has to be submitted to Asst. R.T.O. (Driving Licence Branch).
The duplicate driving licence will be delivered as per the time prescribed by the Asst. R.T.O

• A driving license is an official document that states that a person may operate one or more types of motorized vehicles, such as a motorcycle, car, truck, or a bus, on a public roadway.
