Apply In-Person

1. To Adopt a Zoo Animal, the applicant has to approach the Indore Zoo – link
2. Pick the favorite animal from the Indore Zoo animal adoption brochure list.
3. After selecting, the applicant has to get the form from the officer to complete this process.
4. The applicant has to make payment through DD / Cheque at our Zoo Office.
5. Make sure that the applicant has to attach the necessary documents which is mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Submit the all the documents and form to the officer.
7. Once the verification process gets done by the officer, the applicant gets the notification through SMS.
8. The applicant has to visit the office to adopt animal.
9. The processing time for this procedure is within a week.

Any individual/organisation can Adopt Zoo Animals after paying the Adoption fee.

The certificate of Adoptionwill be given after payment of fee at the Zoo office.

Benefits of Adopting a Zoo Animal:

• Adoption membership card with photo identity proof will be provided.
• The Adopters will receive an official Adoption certificate from the Zoo Authority.
• The Adoption fee is eligible for Income Tax deduction under section 80G of the IT Act, 1961.
• Adopters name will be displayed at the entrance gates of Van Vihar Zoo during their adoption period.
• Display of names/logo on the adopted Animal enclosure, depending upon the level of support.

Please explain what are other uses of obtaining this document/certificate.
e.g. Birth Certificate can be used as proof of identity.
