Applying for the Government's Student Loan Scheme

• Training aid shall be submitted to the scholarship office by an official form.
• With the official form, any information required for the determination of the education grant shall be collected by the applicant person.
• The form must be completed by the applicant and person to sign. By signing the accuracy of the information is confirmed. With immaturity of the applicant person the request is in addition to be signed by the legal guardian.
• The documents shall be enclosed in all required documents. The ordinary residence shall be demonstrated with:
  • a residence certificate that municipality in which the applying person is reported properly; and
  • a residence permit under the Aliens Act or the law of persons with foreign nationals.
• Requests that are made more than one year after the start of training or the training section are rejected as out of time.

Applying for a Student Loan Banks

Another option to fund your studies are study loans. Many banks as well as countries offer suitable formats.

The Principality of Liechtenstein offers an interest-free loan to students who have been living in Liechtenstein for at least three years

The state supports people undergoing training with training aid in the form of grants and loans.

Training aid can be requested with an official application form online, which is started by the Education Account. Important: To access the student account and we can offer a secure service, you need to uniquely identify. You will need either LILOG or lisign.

The application requires a signature. This is based on an assessment made at the form-call registration with "LILOG" or "lisign" to install.

The authoritative data shall be collected in the form and submit the application at the end on the "Send" button electronically.

If you do not have "LILOG" or "lisign" and thus cannot make electronic filing, please go personally to switch the authoritative public office.

• Name, date of birth, address and telephone number of the applicant person
• Training data
• The names of family members
• Data on the financial circumstances of the applicant person (wealth, income, third subsidies)
• Control data of the applicant person, their parents and their spouses or their Spouse

Loans are training aid granted to the applicant person pursuant to a loan agreement without interest with the state and have to repay.

Right to training aid covers everyone residing in Liechtenstein who can provide evidence to date of about supporting training or to support training section at least three consecutive years, or a total of at least five years of normal residence in Liechtenstein

The scholarship office is responsible in particular:

• advising individuals who wish to apply for an education grant;
• the decision to grant and reimbursement of training aid;
• the drafting of loan agreements, determining the repayment as well as the deferral of repayment;
• budgeting of training aid;
• annual reporting to the government, in particular on the use of funds;
• advising private scholarships institutions headquartered in Liechtenstein under judicial secrecy.

If the necessary information and data the person making themselves cannot be levied on the application, the scholarship office is entitled to obtain the information necessary for calculating the training aid information and data in the following authorities.
