How to Apply

1. Applicants should gather all the supporting documents (listed below) and visit the One-Stop Business Facility Centre (OBFC), Licensing Department office, and submit the documents to the attending officer, who will then register your full names and date of deposit for the file.
2. Your application file will then be forward to the licensing board (which meets every Thursday) to assess all application files.
3. Re-visit the licensing office and checks the status of your application after the assessment by the broad within five to seven working days.
4. If your application is approved you will be issued with two copies of Approval form (original and duplicate).
5. Head to the Licensing Department office with the Approval forms and submit them to be filled, signed and stamped by a senior commercial officer.
6. Then head to the Account Department office, with the Approval forms and pay the required fees as indicated on it, upon which you will be issued with the payment receipt and the duplicate Approval form signed and stamped by the Account officer.
7. Return to the licensing office and submit the payment receipt and the signed and stamped duplicate Approval form, the licensing officer, will then issue you with a certified Trader’s license.

• Certified sublease (original)
• Certificate of inspection (original)
• Environmental impact assessment clearance certificate (original)
• Certified identification document (valid driver’s license, passport ,ID card)

For Company additional documents

• Certificate of incorporation (simple copy)
• Company extract (simple copy)

For Specific business activities additional documents

• Food handler certificate (original) for food handlers only
• Certificate of analysis (original) for manufacturing of food, water, cream and medicine

Trading license fee (cash only)

• LSL 300 for individual license holder
• LSL 600 for other license holders

• The license is issued for one year, then it has to be renewed.

• Traders licence is an official document that gives its holder authorization to trade, registered/approved products or merchandise in Lesotho.
