1. You will have to present the application letter requesting for the approval of Importing and Exporting of Firearm in Lesotho to the Commissioner of police or in the District Commissioner officers in your area. Few address are provided under the section Office Locations & Contacts of this page.
2. Submit your application with documents that are listed under the Required Documents section of this page.
3. After verification of the submitted documents and if the authorities are satisfied with the documents the application will be approved and import permit will be issued to the applicant.

For people living in or around Maseru, applications are submitted to the Commissioner of Police and for those in the districts; they are submitted to the District Commissioners. • Applicant should be over the age of 21.

• For bullets, the importer is allowed to import 50 bullets upon purchasing of a firearm. Additional bullets are recommended to be purchased locally.
