Apply In-Person:

1. Application of pawn broker license in Lakshadweep is available in the Lakshadweep Administration Secretariat contact link
2. After getting the application form from the office, the applicant must provide all information that are needed for completing this procedure.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing the procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure is mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of all documents (whichever is needed) along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the license will be provided within 2-3 weeks.

The documents that are required for applying pawn broker license are mentioned below:

• Original Bank Challan
• Proof ID (AADHAR or Voter ID Card)
• PAN Card
• Attested copies of Property Documents
• Bank Account statements for 6 months with minimum balance of 1 lakh rupees.
• National Saving Certificate for Rs. 10,000/- in the name of the applicant or the firm.
• Affidavit
• Copy of Firm Registration
• Self-Addressed envelope
• Registered postage fee stamps.

• Get attestation in the property documents.
• Have an Affidavit
• Have bank account statements for 6 months with a minimum balance of 1 lakh rupees.
• Registration Certificate of the firm.

• Name of the Applicant
• Address in Full
• Father’s Name
• SSID No./Voter list No.
• If applicant is native of Indian then – a) Full address in Lakshadweep b) A list of properties owned in Lakshadweep
• Address of the shop or place of business
• Financial year for which the license is applied for
• Status of payment of fees by the applicant.

• Pawn broker license makes the pawn shop official and is a legal procedure to be taken care of before starting a pawn business.
