Lakshadweep - Apply License or Permission for Building Demolition


Procedure

Apply In Person:

  1. The license/permission for demolishing any building is provided by the concerned authorities in the Municipal Corporation.
  2. The application form has to be obtained from the authorities in the respective district Municipal Corporation.
  3. The application form has to be handwritten by the person/owner/agent applying for demolition purposes.
  4. The application form has to be submitted along with the required documents prescribed by the authorities.
  5. Make sure that you have all the documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. The fee estimation will be provided by the authorities based on the building type and its location.
  7. Before the demolition, the owner has to make sure to disconnect the supplies to the building such as
    • Water Supply
    • Electricity Supply
    • Sewage Connection
  8. After supervising everything the authorities will provide permission to demolish the building.





Required Documents

The documents that are necessary for the building demolition permission are:

  • 4 copies of building Plan and Statement (Ferro-Paper or any type of paper)
    • Site plan
    • Building Plan
    • Service Plan
    • Parking and circulation plan
    • Landscape Plan
    • General Specifications (in attached form)
    • Ownership Title (Lease/Conveyance/Sale Deed, etc.)
  • Other document, as required and demanded by the authorities.
  • 1 set of copies should be laminated.
  • NOC certificate from the Neighbour (if the building is Semi-Detached)

Eligibility

Any individual who owns the building is eligible to seek permission for building demolition.



Fees

The fee structure for the demolition of the building is given by the respective authorities after surveying the particular building.

The buildings should be demolished in a safe environment without causing any Air Pollution and Noise Pollution.
