1. Gather all documents you will need to submit or present when you apply for a TIN. Check the list below.
2. You may submit your application in person or you may also send it via prepaid post. You may use the contact information provided under "Office Locations & Contacts" to know more about submitting your documents via mail.
3. Your application will be reviewed and once approved a unique TIN will be issued to you.

Individual:

• a certified copy of the personal information pages of the individual's current Kiribati or foreign passport.
• a certified copy of the personal information pages of the individual's current Kiribati driver's licence.
• a certified copy of the personal information pages of the individual's current foreign driver's licence provided it includes a photograph of the individual.
• a certified copy of the individual's birth certificate accompanied by a current photograph of the individual. Note: Photograph must be certified as a true photograph of the applicant by a person who is not related to the applicant and who has known the applicant for at least two years.

Note: You may be asked to present additional documents to prove your identity.

Other supporting documents:

• Company: Certificate of incorporation or registration of the company
• Partnership: Partnership deed
• Trust: Deed of settlement or other document evidencing the creation or existence of the trust
