Apply via Agent
To bid for a government contract Individual/establishment has to register themselves as an approved contractor. The contractors classified under different class ( Class-I/Class-II etc) are eligible to bid for different levels of government contracts.
Apply In-Person:
- Applicant shall apply with the chief engineer of the respective PWD (Public works department) Divisional office.
- Make sure that you are eligible for applying.
- Go to the respective office.

- Consult with the designated authority. Obtain the application form or write on an A4 sheet as advised.
- Application form can also be downloaded using the following link: link
- Submit the completed application form along with required documents.
- Submitted application will be verified by the authorities. If all are in place, applicant will be provided with acknowledgement for the submitted application.
- Please pay the required fees/charges as appropriate and get the receipt from the department.
- This application will be processed internally.
- Once the applicant is found eligible, License will be granted as per applicable norms.
- License will be delivered to the address mentioned while applying or it will be delivered as per notification.
Apply Online
- Please use the following link to reach online portal: online portal
- In the given page please click “New Licence” option under “Apply For” to get “Contractor Sign In” page.
- Please enter the login credentials as applicable and click “Login” button to login.
- If you are a new user then use the “New Registration” option to get “Applicant/Contractor Registration” page. Please complete the registration process by filling the mandatory details as per prompt and click “Register” button to register and the login.
- Once login, applicant will land on dashboard page. Please use the main menu button and click “Licence” option and then choose “New” option.
- Once the above step is accomplished applicant will reach a page where applicant has to process the data for filling all the sessions to apply for this procedure.
- Kindly upload applicable documents at the prompted space as appropriate.
- Once you reach the payment section pay the applicable fees online.
- An acknowledgement for submission of application will be generated. Same time an acknowledgment with reference number will be sent to your mobile and email. Keep it safe for future reference.
- This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
- Submitted application will be verified by the authorities.
- Please follow department notification.
- Once the applicant is found eligible, License will be granted as per applicable norms.
- License will be delivered to the address mentioned while applying or it will be delivered as per notification.
- Note:
- Applicant will be asked to meet the concerned authority for interview.
- Department authority may conduct inspection of the workshop or the facility of the applicant
- It is advised to submit additional set of copy of the documents and get counter signed for your safety while applying with government department.
Apply through Centres:
- To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
- Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
- The operator will process the application online.
- On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
- The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
- If verified, the registration certificate will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying in a stipulated period of time.

- Details of machinery/equipment
- Solvency certificate from a scheduled bank
- Work orders and works done/ work completion certificates as prime contractor in other Government Department / Government undertaking/ Board/ Committee/ Government Corporation/ Central Public Enterprise under Government of India reflecting nature of work/ demonstrating experience for five years.

- Firm Registration Certificate

- In case of Company
- Certificate of Incorporation
- Memorandum of Association & Article of Association

Eligibility

- Retired Engineer of Gazetted rank or
- Gazetted Officer employed on Engineering or
- Person who held administrative duties in any engineering Department of the Government of India during the last two years.
