Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain FSSAI license as Vegetable Importer, you have to approach the Commissioner of Food Safety / Officer-In-Charge for Food Safety.

3. For Vegetable Importing, you have to approach the Commissioner of Food Safety / Officer-In-Charge for Food Safety.
4. Please collect the appropriate application form as per officer’s advice or write on a A4 sheet.
5. Please make sure you are eligible to make the application by going through the eligibility criteria provided under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
6. Fill all the required information in the form and Submit the form to the Commissioner of Food safety department. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
7. Please complete the application form and make sure you have all the documents that are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page.
8. Pay the appropriate fees and submit the form to the Officer-In-Charge in the Food Safety department.
9. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
10. Authorities will inspect the facilities that are related to the as Vegetable Importer and if they are satisfied with the standards followed the authorities will provide the franchise permission.
11. The applicant will be later requested to collect the FSSAI license as Vegetable Importer on a specified date.

Apply Online:

1. To Apply FSSAI license as Vegetable Importer, you can use the FOSCOS website. Please click the following link:FOSCOS Website
2. After visiting the link, you have to click the “CLICK HERE FOR FOSCOS" tab.
3. Click the “Login-Businesses” tab and Under User sign-in Box enter your user name, password and captcha code and Click on the “sign-in” button to login.
4. If you are a new user, then Click on the Sign up tab and fill all the required details and enter the captcha code and Click on the “Sign up” tab.
5. After that you will receive a mail and now the username and password will be activated for new users.
6. After successful log-in, Click on the License/Registration and Select the Apply for License/Registration on the Left menu.
7. Next select the state from the dropdown list box and read the Note.
8. Next select the Importer tab and click on the Importer option.
9. Next Click on the radio button and finally click on the “Proceed” tab.
10. On the next page, Click on the “Click here to apply Central License for all Businesses”.
11. Next Form-B page will be displayed, fill all the required informations under premises details section and Click on the “Save & Next” tab.
12. On the Production selection page, Select the category of food you are going to handle by clicking on the drop-down menu “Food Product Category” and click “Save & Add” option and then fill all the details for DGFT Authentication and Click on the “Proceed with DGFT validation” to authenticate the details.
13. Next Click on the “Save” button to save the authenticated details. After Successfully Proceeding with DGFT validation, Click on the “Save & Next” button.
14. Next fill all the Communication details and Click on the “Save & Next” button.
15. Under required documents section upload all the relevant documents and Click on the “Save & Next” button.
16. Next pay the fees and submit the application.
17. After Successful Completing the payment, a receipt will be generated with a 17-digit reference number make a print of it and keep it safe for future reference.
18. You can track the application through the Home page.
19. This application will be processed by them and they will notify you through your e-mail or by SMS.

• Registration or licensing with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India is a must for Vegetable Importers.

• Name of the person.
• E-mail Id.
• Phone number.

• One has to get the Vegetable Importer license to sell to sell imported Vegetable to the local shop.
• To import Vegetable, FSSAI license is mandatory.

• Carry all the necessary documents.
• Make a photocopy of your filled form for future reference.
