Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for temporary residence certificate, applicant has to approach the officer at the village office of your area.

3. Get the relevant application form from the authorities and fill the form with valid details appropriately.
4. Make sure that you have all the proper documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.
5. Submit the form along with the required documents to the authorities.
6. Now collect the acknowledgment slip from the authorities.
7. After the verification process, applicant shall receive the temporary residence certificate from the office.
   

Through Akshaya Centres:

1. Applicant has to visit the nearest Akshaya centre. Link for contact: Contact. Select “District Officers” to know the contact details of your district.
2. Write a letter to the authorities stating the reason for obtaining temporary residence certificate.
3. Make sure that you have all the proper documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.
4. Submit the letter along with the required documents to the authorities.
5. Now collect the acknowledgment slip from the authorities.
6. After the verification process, applicant shall receive the temporary residence certificate.

• Applicant must be the citizen of India.
• Applicant with a valid residence certificate from other state can apply for temporary residence certificate in the state where they are working/doing business.
• Applicant who is going to stay in the state for a short period can apply for temporary residence certificate.
