1. To apply for Goods Carriage National Permit in Kerala the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

5. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
   
6. Application forms can also be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that can be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
   
7. Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
   
8. Important verifications for the permit includes Vehicle condition, Body built, Capacity to withstand the load etc.; will be carried by authorities.
   
9. After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed.
   
   

Apply online :

1. To apply for goods carriage national permit, the applicant has to visit the official portal of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways: Link to Portal
2. In the homepage, please scroll down to “Informational Services” and click on the “more” button in the “Citizen Guide” tab.
3. The applicant will be taken to the “Manual” page where all the available services will be listed.
4. Please click on the name of the required service and click on “Step by Step procedure” from the drop down menu.
5. The applicant will be taken to a new PDF page where the process for applying will be explained clearly.
6. Please follow the steps to complete the application.

1. Completed Application in Form for grant of national goods carriage permit  : Form
2. Registration Certificate of the vehicle
   
3. Fitness Certificate.
   
4. Proof of payment of tax for the current quarter.
   
5. Insurance Certificate.
   
6. Authorization in the bank draft.
   
7. No object certificate from the financier if the vehicle concerned is covered by HPA / Lease / Hypothecation.
   
8. Payment of green tax wherever applicable.
   
9. Demand drafts drawn in favor of the Authorities prescribed in respect of other states towards payment of composite taxes.

• Applicant should be the owner of the vehicle.
  
• The age of the vehicle should not exceed 12 years for Goods Carriage National Permit.
