Apply In Person

1. A request to Register for KEBS Standards Levy shall be made to the Kenya Bureau Standards (KEBS) Office. KEBS Regional Offices Contacts
2. Applicants will be required to complete the Import Standardization Mark - (ISM) Application form, freely issued at any of the regional KEBS offices, or downloadable via the KEBS website or use this link to directly download the form Standard Levy Application form-SL 1 Duly completed in duplicate
3. Upon obtaining the form, accurately fill all fields and submit/forward the filled form in word format with the supporting documents as attachments to standardslevy@kebs.org for processing.
4. The registration process is issued free of charge.
5. Upon receipt of the application, the applicant is registered and a registration letter/email mentioning the manufacturer's unique registration number is sent via email within 1 (One) working day.

• A Copy of a valid company/ Business registration certificate.
• Valid business KRA PIN Certificate

• Name and address of proprietor or partners and in the case of companies, the Chief Executives and Directors
• All commodities manufactured or to be manufactured
• The date upon which manufacture commences or will commence
• The total value of manufacture in the last calendar year
• Declaration by the applicant

• All manufacturers are required to register for Standards Levy with KEBS to be able to make their monthly payment which is 0.2% of the manufacturer’s monthly turnover excluding VAT and discounts if any.
