Apply In Person

1. To obtain a Hide and Stock Dispatch Note applicants are required to submit their request to the nearest slaughterhouse, which is registered and licensed by the Director of Veterinary Services. Ministry of Agriculture Livestock Fisheries and Cooperatives
2. Applicants should express their interest to the leather development officer authorized by the Director of Veterinary Services, who shall then cause each consignment of hides and skins to be inspected by an inspector.
3. Where the inspector is satisfied that the consignment meets the required standards he/she will draw up a consignment inspection report and submit it to the leather development officer for approval.
4. The leather development officer shall then draw up the dispatch note and certify it before issuing it to the applicant, after paying an insurance fee of Ksh 100.
5. The processing time accumulatively is within a day.
6. Once issued a dispatch note will be valid for a period not exceeding five days from the date of issue

• Valid identity card.
• Valid company registration certificate.

• Ksh 100.00 For issuance of the meat transport permit

• A Dispatch note will be valid for a period not exceeding five days from the date of issue for each consignment.

• It shall be a condition that any person moving or conveying hides or skins for sale or whatever another purpose outside the administrative district in which the registered premises, store, warehouse, or slaughterhouse is situated shall be in possession of an original completed dispatch note.
