Apply In Person

1. To obtain aSlaughter man license, applicants are required to submit their request to the City-County DirectorateVeterinary Services (DVS) Office. of Agriculture Livestock Fisheries and Cooperatives
2. Applicants should express their interest to the DVS officer verbally and submit the supporting documentation for verification.
3. An interview is done to assess the competence of the applicant and his/her ability to slaughter and protect the skin.
4. Upon satisfying that the applicant has the appropriate personal protective gear, owns a special knife for flaying, and has knife skills, the DVS officer shall then instruct the applicant to make a payment of Ksh 350.00 for the slaughterman license before being issued.
5. Renewals of the slaughterman licenses are done at the slaughterhouses during pre-licensing and licensing campaigns by theCity-County DirectorateVeterinary Services (DVS) Office.
