1. To Renew Vehicle National Permit (All India), in Karnataka the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which your area belongs to. Following link can provide you information related to the list of RTO office: link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference, it contains the application summary and contact details of the person to be contacted.
10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
11. The processing time for this procedure takes up to 10 - 15 days.

• No-objection Certificate from the financier if the vehicle is covered by hire purchase Agreement/Hypothecation/Lease.

• Applicant should be the owner of the vehicle.
• The age of the vehicle should not exceed 12 years for Goods Carriage National Permit.
• The validity of the permit is not lapsed

• Usually permit is valid for 5 years
• Renewal of permit can be obtained with vehicle fitness certificate and FC as per authorities of concerned RTO.
• The age of the vehicle also limits the validity

• National Vehicle Permit means a permit granted by authority to a goods carriage vehicle to operate through-out India or in such States not being less than four in number including the states in which the permit is issued
• The age of the vehicle should not exceed 12 years.

• FC (for clearance) is a process meant for reviewing the condition of the vehicle by the RTO authorities
