1. Please use the link to reach online portal Parivahan : Online portal
2. Enter the registration Number as prompted and hit “PROCEED”
3. New screen will open to give options to choose. Choose “Apply for Fitness Renewal/Re-Apply after Fitness being failed” to get new screen.
4. Enter your Chassis(Last 5 digits) number and click the button next to chassis number box
5. In the next screen, Fill in required details and upload documents to process the online procedure
6. Take printout of acknowledgement and application form.
7. Go to RTO on the scheduled date to submit and process the request process further

Apply In-Person

1. To renew Vehicle Fitness certificate (FC) in Karnataka the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

4. Also make sure you have all the necessary documents to process the application.
5. The applicant should make sure they are eligible for applying for this procedure.
6. Make sure you have completed respective application (can be obtained from respective RTO)
7. Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices
8. The applicant should bring in their vehicle for inspection.
9. Present the completed application forms in the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
10. Inspection of vehicle for correctness as per norms will be carried out to renew FC

• In case of Private vehicles the fitness certificates is valid for 15 years and there after renewed at every 5 years
• In case of Transport Vehicles the fitness certificate is issued for a new vehicle for 2 years and subsequently renewed every year

• Fitness Certificate is an official document certifying that the holder’s vehicle is fit to drive at public places. As this certificate is a very important document in renewal of permits. The renewal of fitness certificate is highly regarded.
• The registration of vehicle is treated as valid only if the vehicle has valid certificate of fitness. Fitness certificate for a vehicle in Arunachal Pradesh is required to renew the current status of the vehicle
• The fitness is checked and certified by the Registering Authority
• Fitness certificate is issued to check the pollution caused by the emission of smoke from the vehicles, to maintain the vehicle in proper condition and to avoid accidents

• An applicant should apply for renewal of his vehicle Fitness Certificate within 30 days from the date of expiry of its validity
• RTO officials has the right to decide upon the issue of certificate
• It is advisable to go to the Regional Transport Officer / State Transport Authority between 9:00am to 5:00pm
