1. To Complaint about faulty electric meter, the applicant has to use the following given link link
2. The applicant has to select the department.
3. And enter all the details of name, contact number along with comments.
4. Upload all the necessary documents which is mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. There is no fee for this procedure.
6. After completion, the applicant has to click the “Submit” button.
7. Once the verification process gets completed by the respective officer.
8. The applicant gets the notification of successful process through mail or SMS.
9. The officer will visit the site to check the fault.
10. The processing time for this procedure is within a week.
11. If the officer is not taken any action, the applicant has to visit the respective office.

Apply In-Person:

1. Approach your local Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd. (KPTCL) or Bangalore Electricity Supply Company or Mangalore Electricity Supply Company or Hubli Electricity Supply Company or Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company or Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation to register your complaint regarding the faulty electricity meter.
2. Refer to the “Office Locations & Contacts” section in this procedure to see the respective address and contact details.
3. Record the complaint according to the office guidelines.
4. Once the complaint is recorded the consumer will be provided with an acknowledgement which needs to be kept safe until further notice.
5. The request will be taken care of by the respective authority.
6. A technician will visit on the address mentioned in the application to inspect the electricity meter.
7. If the electricity meter is found faulty, it is removed and taken to the department lab for checking.
8. The department will inform to the consumer to either collect the repaired meter or the replaced meter until which the consumer needs to wait until further notice from the department.
9. The consumer must follow the department notice and regulations to get the electricity meter fixed.
