1. After the application is received, Travel trade division will do the scrutiny in all aspects.
2. If the result are satisfactory, the department grants certificate to the applicant.

Registering

1. To apply online for Tourist Transport operator recognition, one has to use the following online portal link: online link.
2. In the given page, Choose the “SERVICE PROVIDER REGISTRATON” option as provided on right part of the page under “Login here” to reach the next page and hit proceed in the given page to get another page.
3. Enter / Select prompted details and hit “Submit” to reach another page. In the given page enter the details about the establishment, address, personal information, mobile, email id etc. followed by captcha and hit “Submit”.
4. Once user hits submit, A registration number generated online will be sent to you in the mobile number provided.

Application

1. Now use the credentials and login in the online home page.
2. As user login to a page, use the respective category applicable for Fresh Recognition option from the list of option to reach next screen.
3. User has to follow the screen prompt and fill in the details and hit respective option to reach successive pages followed by Fee detail session. Here, user has to provide Demand draft details as per the prompt and finally hit “Save and Proceed” for next page.

Upload Scanned Document

1. In the screen provided, applicant has to upload the documents
2. Once all the required document upload is done, hit “Save and Proceed to complete the process to submit the application.
3. Applicant will get a application number for the application submitted in his mobile as well as in email for future reference.
4. From this point on wards the scrutiny of documents, Inspection etc, will be carried forward to process the application.

Note: you do not submit any application within 45 days of the date of Registration, then your Registration will be automatically deactivated

• The applicant should have been in the tourist transport operation business for a minimum period of one year at the time of application.
• The Tourist Transport Operator has operated in the above period with a minimum number of six tourist vehicles with proper tourist permits issued by the concerned State Transport Authority (STA) / Road Transport Authority (RTA) for commercial tourist vehicles. Out of these six tourist vehicles, at least four must be cars. The tourist vehicles and the related documents should be in the name of the company except where the owner is a Proprietor.

• The Tourist Transport Operator is required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 3,000/-while applying for the recognition / renewal for Head Office and each Branch Office.
• The fee will be made payable to the Pay & Accounts Officer, Ministry of Tourism in the form of a Bank Draft.

• A tourist vehicle permit shall be valid for...

• To encourage quality standard and service in tourist transport category, so as to promote tourism in India. This is a voluntary scheme open to all bonafide tourist transport operators to bring them in organized sector.
• A Tourist Transport Operator Organization is one, who provides tourist transport like cars, coaches, boats etc.
• The Tourist Transport Operator is registered with the appropriate authority for carrying on the business of operating tourist transport vehicles.
• The applicant should be income tax assesse and should submit copy of acknowledgement certificate as proof of having filed income tax return for current assessment year.

• The applicant should have proper parking space for the vehicles.
• The drivers of the tourist vehicles should wear proper uniform and must possess adequate knowledge of taking the tourists for sight seeing.
• The minimum office space should be at least 150 sq. ft for rest of India and 100 sq. ft for hilly areas which are above 1000 meters from sea level.
