The following are the points which should be fulfilled by Households to get categorized under the Below Poverty Line (BPL):
•The family’s or Household’s income should not be more than the Rs.15,000/-.
•None of the family members should hold two hectares of the rainfed or semi-irrigated land.
•The family should not possess any type of four wheeler vehicle.
•There should not be a residential telephone in the household.
Please pay the service charge for receiving an APL ration card as per the authority quote’s.
The validity of the APL Ration Card is for a period of five years.

The process usually takes around 15 to 30 days after the completion of the verification process.

The Public Distribution System (PDS) is a food security program run by the government of India, which provides essential commodities to the people at subsidized rates. The program aims to provide food security to the economically weaker sections of society. The PDS system is implemented through a network of Fair Price Shops (FPS), which are run by the state government. The APL Ration Card is an important document for accessing the benefits of the PDS program.
