1. The applicant must submit the application for abandoning Jordan nationality to the concerned authority or party.
2. The concerned authority or party will submit the application to the Department and then collect legal fees.
3. The application is endorsed to the Minister of Interior.
4. Approval by the Cabinet is then issued and a notification letter by the Minister of Interior is sent to the Department.
5. After that, the applicant is issued a certificate of abandoning the Jordanian nationality, provided he or she hands over all Jordanian proof-of-identity documents that were issued to him or her, so that they could be cancelled and computer records be updated.
