To provide financial support to the poor widows of India, the widow pension scheme was introduced in India. A widow whose household is below the poverty line is eligible to get the benefits of pension scheme.

Apply Online: - Apply for Widow Pension Online with Images

1. To apply for widow Pension through online,click on the following link : Online portal
2. Click on the “Login” button Next login using your E-mail ID,Password and Captcha Code and Click on the “Login” Button.
3. If you are a new user click on the Don’t have an account?Register Here” and fill all the required information.
4. Enter the Captcha code and click on the “Submit” button.

   Note : You can also click “Register Yourself” button to register

5. A verification link is sent to your E-mail,click the link and verify your registration.
6. Now login using your credentials.
7. Now Click on the Apply for Services on the left side and click View all available services.
8. Next select the 27 option “Jharkhand Social Security Pensions” which is on the 3rd page and fill all the necessary details and upload all the documents and click on the “Submit” button.
9. You will be given an acknowledgement keep it safe for future reference.
10. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
11. After all the verification they will credit your pension amount each month to your bank account.
    
    

Apply In-Person for Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS):

1. To apply for Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme,you have to visit the nearest Gram Panchayat /Municipality.

3. Get the application form from the Concerned Officer or write it on an A4 sheet.
4. Fill the application form with all the necessary details.
5. Attach all the Required Documents as mentioned in the Required Documents section along with the form and submit it to the concerned officer in the Gram Panchayat /Municipality.
6. Pay the appropriate fees as per authorities quote.
7. You will be given an acknowledgement keep it safe for future reference.
8. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
9. If sanctioned, beneficiary shall be issued a Pension Passbook.

Apply through Centres:

1. To Apply for Widow Pension in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the card.
3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.
