Jharkhand - Apply for Temporary Residence Certificate (TRC)


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for temporary residence certificate, applicant has to approach the revenue department authorities or tehsildar office.
  2. Link for contact: link please click on the respective district names to reach the website of the respective district. In the given page select “Directory” menu option and select the respective option provided to get the contact details. (If the directed page shows error message then, add https:// before the name of the district as per the given page. E.g. if the [www.bokaro.nic.in/ Link] page shows error message then type ”http://[www.bokaro.nic.in/ Link]” to open it.)
  3. Go to the respective office.
  4. Collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.
  5. Complete the application form. Attach the entire required documents as per our “required documents” section and submit it to the designated authority.
  6. After the application form is processed, an enquiry officer will make a thorough verification regarding your proof which you have submitted along with the form.
  7. Collect the acknowledgment slip for submitting the form. Keep it safe for future reference.
  8. Use acknowledgment slip to obtain certificate as per the department notification.



Apply through Centres:

  1. To Apply for Temporary Residence Certificate (TRC) in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
  2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the card.
  3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
  4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
  5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
  6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

  • Appointment Order/Transfer Order/Govt. Identity Card
  • Copy of 2 recent passport size photograph
  • Attested copy of birth certificate.
  • Attested copy of education certificate
  • Attested copy of voter ID
  • Attested copy of Inner line permit (This document is required in some states as per local government norms)
  • Attested copy of trading license as per requirement
  • Govt. Identity Card /Trading License of Guardian
  • Trading/establishment of guardian.
  • Certificate stating evidence of guardianship

Eligibility

  • Applicant with a valid residence certificate from other state can apply for temporary residence certificate in the state where they are working/doing business.
  • Applicant must be the citizen of India.

  • Do not submit fake documents as a proof to obtain this certificate.
  • Applying for residential certificate in another state is an offence.
