Jammu and Kashmir - Download or View Birth Certificate


Procedure

Apply Online through Central Government CRS portal

  1. Those who registered their birth shall download or View the Birth Certificate using the following Link
  2. The applicant has to click the “Login” button on the right side of the page and select “General Public” to reach the “General Public Login” page.
  3. Here, click on the “SIGN UP” button
  4. The applicant will reach the “General Public Sign Up” page. Please follow the prompts and hit the “NEXT” button.
  5. In the resulting screen, please complete the prompts and click on the “NEXT” button.
  6. In the same manner please complete the other poge prompts as applicable and hit the “NEXT” button to complete the registration process.
  7. Once registered, In the home page, the applicant has to click the “Login” button on the right side of the page and select “General Public” to reach the “General Public Login” page.
  8. Please enter the prompted details as appropriate and then enter the captcha as applicable and click on the “LOGIN” button.
  9. The applicant will receive an OTP in their registered mobile number. Please provide the OTP at the prompted space as applicable and click on the “LOGIN” button.
  10. The applicant will reach the dashboard page.
  11. Please click the “Birth” menu option and choose “Search Birth Register” option.
  12. A “Search” page will be displayed, Please complete the prompts with appropriate details and click on the “Search button.
  13. A new page with the list of birth certificates will be displayed, Please click on the “View” button at the end against the correct record to view and download.



Apply Online

  1. To Download or View Birth Certificate, the applicant has to click on the following link
  2. The applicant has to click on the "Apply" button.
  3. From the redirected page echhawani portal link the applicant has to select their language.
  4. The applicant has to click on the “continue” button.
  5. The applicant has a registered user, applicant can login into the portal with valid mobile number. Then applicant has to click on the “continue” button.
  6. If applicant don’t have an account means, the applicant has to click “Register” button.
  7. The applicant has to enter all the necessary details in the user registration.
  8. After successful login or registration, in the home page, click on the "Birth certificate" option.
  9. Now again the applicant has to click on the "Birth certificate" option.
  10. The applicant has to select the “Download marriage Certificate” from the following list.
  11. The applicant needs to enter all the required details in the given form and click the “Search Registry” button.
  12. If the birth certificate is available, it will be displayed on the screen.
  13. The applicant has to view the details.
  14. Also, click the “Download” button to download the certificate.
  15. No necessary documents to upload for this certificate.
  16. The fee for Downloading or Viewing the Marriage Certificate is free of cost.
  17. The processing time for this download certificate is complete within a minute.





Apply Online through National Services Portal

  1. Those whose birth is registered shall apply online to download their birth certificate using the following Link
  2. In the given page, please enter “birth certificate” along with the “state” name at the prompt against “Search a GOVERNMENT SERVICE” and click the search icon.
  3. A “Search Results” page will be provided.
  4. Please browse through to find the state portal appropriate for viewing or downloading the certificate as appropriate.
  5. Once you reach the respective portal, please browse through for the birth certificate and process,
  6. Please follow the page prompts as per the respective state or district portals requirement as appropriate to get the birth certificate.
  7. For instance, the user may be asked to provide the registered mobile number, date of birth, district etc.,
  8. As the resulting pages are state centric, the applicants are requested to adhere to the respective state portal requirements.



Apply through CSC:

  1. To Download or View Birth Certificate for the existing birth certificate registration, the applicant has to approach the nearest CSC Link
    NOTE:To check the contact details of the CSC centre, please select the District and Block.
  2. The applicant has to visit the nearest centre.
  3. The applicant has to inform all the details to the respective operator.
  4. The operator will enter the details in the portal with the given details.
  5. The applicant will get the downloaded certificate from the operator.
  6. Please pay as per applicable service charges if any.
  7. The processing time for this procedure is immediate.

  • A birth certificate in India is a permanent and official record of a child's existence. A child who is not registered at birth is in danger of being denied the official identity, a recognized name, and nationality.

  • It becomes necessary to obtain a Birth Certificate because it serves to establish the date and fact of one's birth for a whole range of purposes, like acquiring the right to vote, admission to schools and to the Government Service, claiming the right to marry at the legally permissible age, settlement of inheritance and property rights, and obtaining Government-issued identity documents like a driving license or passport.
