Apply In-Person:

1. Sanitation certificate will be issued by the public health department of the civic body.
2. In order to apply for Sanitation Certificate, the applicant has to approach their respective Municipal Corporation / Municipality / Circle office as appropriate and meet the health branch authority.

4. Go to the respective office.
5. Meet the respective authority at the office. The applicant shall get the advice from the authority to be followed to apply for this certificate.
6. Collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.
7. Complete the application form. Attach the entire required document as per our “Required Documents” section and submit it to the designated receiving authority.
8. After receiving the application, authorities will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place the application will be accepted with applicable fees as appropriate.
9. Authorities will make entries about this application in the manual record or electronically using computer.
10. Acknowledgement receipt will be given against every form received. So, collect it and please keep it safe for future reference.
11. Applicant will get update about the progress of his/her application through SMS in their registered mobile number.
12. Designated authority will forward the application to the concerned health inspector, Civic authority and area health officer / designated authority for inspection.
13. The health inspector, Civic authority and area health officer / designated authority will verify the applicant’s details followed by field verification to create a report.
14. This report will be sent back to the issuing authority.
15. Based on the outcome of the above report and other internal processing the issuing authority will make a decision.
16. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
17. If approved, the certificate will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying or issued as per applicable norms.
    

Note :

• The outcome of the inspection by the authorities will certify about the drinking water facility and hygiene sanitation condition in the premises is par with the norms prescribed by the state government.
  
• Every unit should have toilets and clean drinking water facility.
  
• Certificate will be despatched or handed over directly as per the request made while applying by the applicant. Mostly handover in office will be in practice to get counter signature from the applicant for the delivered certificate.
