Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a replacement of a motor Vehicle Registration Plate, you should submit your complete application to the Tax office where the Plate was issued.You can view TAJ’s (Tax office) contact details via this link:Link
2. Upon noticing that you have lost your vehicle’s registration plate, report the case to the nearest police station immediately and obtain the police report
3. Obtain the application form for motor vehicle transaction from the Tax office or download it from their website:Link you can also download the form directly via this link:Link
4. Complete the application form correctly and attach all the required supporting documents to it
5. Go to the Tax office and pay for the replacement fees at the cashier and obtain the payment receipt
6. Then submit the complete application including the payment receipt to the Tax official at the service unit
7. The official will verify your documents to determine if the application is complete as required
8. Then official will lodge your application in their system and direct you to the plate unit where you will be issued substitute plates.
