Apply In-Person

1. To renew security guard license as an individual, you should visit the Private Security Regulation Authority (PSRA) office. You can view the PSRA office contact details via this link: Link
2. Obtain the application form for renewals at the PSRA office at the reception or download it form their website via this link: Link (under individual: Individual Renewal Application Form) you can also download the form directly through this link: Link (Form2) Note that you can also use application form for renewals Form 2A: Link
3. Read the instructions provided in the application form 2 and fill it correctly. Note that you should mark and fill the correct fields since the form is used for renewals and new applications too (do not sign the form) if using form 2.
4. Obtain all the required supporting documents for your application and attach them to the application form.
5. Visit the PSAR office and pay the renewal fee and obtain the payment receipt
6. Submit the complete application to the official at the reception who will verify your application and forward it for processing.
7. Once processed, your registration license will be issued to you.

• Completed Application Form 2 or form 2A
• Expired Registration Card.
• Marriage Certificate (Certified Copy) if you are a married woman and you are using your married name
• Deed Poll if there is a change of name.
• If you have changed company a Transfer Form should be submitted with prescribed fee.
• If you were formerly employed to a company and returning you should bring along a reinstatement letter from the company.
• If registration card is lost, then a report from the police is to be submitted along with two photos and the prescribed fee.

Notes:

• Any relevant documents that were not previously submitted such as, original Birth Certificate, TRN, NIS, National Identification Card, Passport or a Driver’s License should now be submitted.
• Applicants who have not renewed their Registration/Licenses for two years and over will be required to submit a new Finger Print Report no more than six (6) months old, and payment of all accumulated fees.

• Holder of a security guard license that has expired or is about to expire

Private Security Guard Transaction: Fee amount

• Registration of each armed guard: $2,500
• Registration of each unarmed security guard: $1,200
• Registration for each Security Trainer: $5,000
• Registration for each Private Investigator: $5,000
• For the replacement of lost registration card: $1,000
• For the late renewals of Security Trainers and Private Investigators sixty (60) days after the expire date of previous registration card: $1,500
• For the late renewals of registration cards of Armed and Unarmed security Guards sixty (60) days after the expire date of previous registration card (per year): $1,000
• For the transfer of each Private Security Guard from one company to another: $1,000
• For Registration of Company Director, Personal Body Guard, Security Manager, Private Security Technician, Private Security Co-Ordinator, Private Security Consultant and the Deregistration of Closed Companies: $5,000
