- To apply for renewal of the Firearm license, you should visit the Fire Arm Licensing Authority (FLA) office. Please view the contact details and map location of FLA head quarter and offices through this link:Link
- Make sure to bring with you all the supporting documents for the renewal application as mentioned in the Required documents section below
- Once in the FLA office, submit your Firearm, Firearm License Card and Firearm License Fee Certificate to the FLA official in charge of firearm renewals for verification
- The FLA officer will verify you application and you will subject will be require to pay the renewal fee. Note that for latte renewals, the fee will be slightly higher
- Pay the renewal fee at the FLA cashier desk and obtain the payment receipt
- Submit the receipt to the FLA office in charge for renewal who will confirm the fee you have paid and then forward the your application to the relevant officials for processing
- Then you will be requested to be fingerprinted through the MORPH ID Machine and the firearm will be taken to the inspection unit for procedural inspection if necessary
- After handing in the firearm, you will be given a Firearm Verification Inspection slip that has the following information:
- Your consecutive number as the applicant
- Serial number of Firearm inspected and the Firearm Inspected
- NB.If the firearm is not inspected the serial number is not written on the slip and "Firearm Not Inspected" is clarified
- Then the FLA will process the rest of the renewal documents and issue them to you

Eligibility
- Jamaican citizens and residents who own Firearms and have firearm license
Fees
- Renewal fee: $12000
- Late renewal fee: $15000
Validity
- You are required to renew your license every year during your birth day, renewals can be done up to 30 days before your birth day

Instructions
- A renewal is classified as late when it has gone past the renewal date required by law. Licensed Firearm Holders are required to renew on their birthday each year or up to a month (30 days) before.
