Apply In-Person

1. To give legal notice to surrender your trademark rights, you should make your application to the Jamaica Intellectual Property Office (JIPO). Please view the JIPO office location map and contact details via this link:- JIPO contacts.
2. Visit the JIPO office to obtain the notice form or you can download the form from the JIPO website: - Application form
3. Read and complete the application form as instructed and attach all the required supporting documents to the form.
4. Then go to the JIPO office and submit the complete application to the JIPO official at the service desk.
5. The official will verify your application and forward it to the responsible authority for processing.
6. The responsible official at JIPO will assess your application to determine if it meets the required standards.
7. After a successful assessment, JIPO will process the application and record the notice data in their system.

• Complete the form in capital letters using a black writing pen or type your answers.
• Use a separate form for each Trade Mark affected.

• Reference.
• Details of registration.
• Full name of proprietor or licensee or opponent.
• Address.
• Trademark details.
• Signature and date.

• The notice is used if you are giving up your legal rights to the whole Trademark Registration.
