Apply In-Person

1. To get your documents notarized by a Notary Public official, you should go to the Notary office. You can view the list of Notary Public Officials through this link: - Notary Public Officials.
2. Prepare the documents you want to notarize.
3. Visit the Notary Public office in your parish submit the document/s you wish to be notarised to the Notary Public official.
4. Pay the required fees and obtain the payment receipt.
5. The Notary Public official will verify your document/s.
6. Then you will sign the document/s in the presence of the official.
7. Upon singing the document/s the Notary Public will notarize the document/s by stamping it with an official notary stamp and affixing his/her signature on the document/s.

• A Notary Public is an Attorney at Law with a standing of at least ten years.  A Notary Public Official is authorized to authenticate contracts, acknowledge deeds, take affidavits, protest bills of exchange, and take depositions.
