Exportation by Air

1. To export your personal items by air, you should contact an airline or agent to confirm if they offer export service for the items you wish to export
2. If they do, go to the airline’s office to obtain a Tally Sheet and Dispatch Form and complete them accordingly
3. Then prepare the export entry (Form C82) which can be obtained from the Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) office. Complete it and affix $5 worth of stamps to it
4. Go to the JCA’s office and submit the Export Entry along with the Tally Sheet and Dispatch Form including necessary export permits to the customs officer at the processing unit of the export entry
5. The official will verify the documents and if they are in order, the official will direct you to pay the processing fees
6. Go to the customs cashier and pay the recommended fees and obtain the payment receipt
7. Upon payment, go back to the customs officer at the export entry processing unit, who will confirm that you have made the correct payments then you will be issued customer’s copies of Export Entry, Tally sheet, and Dispatch Form
8. With these validated documents proceed and transport the personal items you intend to export to the airline's warehouse for weighing, security checks by the airline's officer
9. Once the airline has cleared the items proceed and pay airline fees and await transportation of the items
   

Exportation by Sea

1. To export your personal items by sea, you should contact a shipping agent to confirm if they offer export service for the items you wish to export
2. If they do, go to the shipping agent’s office to obtain a dock receipt
3. Then prepare four copies of the list of personal items to be exported
4. Then prepare the export entry (Form C82) which can be obtained from the Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) office. Complete it and affix $5 worth of stamps to it
5. Go to the JCA’s office and submit the Export Entry, Dock Receipt, the copies of the items to be exported, and any export permits if applicable to the customs officer at the processing unit of the export entry
6. The official will verify the documents and if they are in order, the official will direct you to pay the processing fees
7. Go to the customs cashier and pay the recommended fees and obtain the payment receipt
8. Upon payment, go back to the customs officer at the export entry processing unit, who will confirm that you have made the correct payments then you will be issued with relevant documents allowing the items to exit Jamaica
9. With these documents proceed and transport the personal items you intend to export to the Shipping agency warehouse for weighing, security checks by the shipping officer
10. Once the shipping agency has cleared the items proceed and pay shipping fees and await transportation of the items

• You must register with JAMPRO if personal items are being exported regularly.
