- To apply for sporting event funds, you should submit your application to the Sports Development Foundation (SDF). Please view the SDF contact details through this link:Link
- First, you should identify the type of funding you wish to apply for since request for funding from the SDF is categorized into two i.e., Infrastructure projects and Non-infrastructure projects.
- If you are applying for Infrastructure projects, you will need to follow the following steps:
- Obtain the project request form and an application guideline from the SDF office or download the form through this link: Link
- Read the provided instructions in section A of the form and complete the form accordingly
- Then submit the complete application to the SDF office for review
- The SDF will assess and consider your application depending on the score your application gets after assessment. Note that for projects to be considered for funding, they must attain a minimum score of 60 points
- After the assessment, the SDF will give you feedback within 45 days of receiving your application, and depending on the score of your application, they will inform you if your application was accepted or denied
- If the application is accepted, the SDF will inform you on how to proceed and receive the funds through you Email or Mail address
- If you are applying for non-infrastructure projects, you should submit a request in form of a letter or proposal to SDF for consideration
- In your request, you should include (but not limited to) the following:
- Background of the requesting entity
- The total budget for the project
- What the project is designed to achieve (Expected impact of the project)
- How much funds are being requested from the SDF
- Expected source of funds for the remainder of funds required for the project
- After submitting your application, the SDF will review it and inform you if you qualify for the funds or not
- If you qualify, the SDF will direct you on how to get the funds
