Apply In-Person

1. Enroll in a driving school

   (i) Interested person who wish to obtain a driver’s licenses are required to enroll in any government approved driving school and attend all driving class.

   (ii) At the end of the driving training coarse the candidate’s will then be required to sit for their practical and theory driving exams.

   (iii) Successful candidate will be issued with a certificate of aptitude for the theoretical and practical examination.

   (iv) You will then require to apply for the driver’s license at the Centre de GestionIntégrée de service (CGI).

2. Book an appointment with the CGI

   (i) During the on-going corona virus epidemic period, the Centre de GestionIntégrée de service(CGI) advises all applicant to make an appointment booking first, via QUIPUX website link link

   (ii) Click on the far right side of your screen, Make appointment option.

   (iii) You will be redirected to the next page, fill out all mandatory fields accurately {location, under formality select “permis de conduire”, CGI agency that you wish to fill your application with, date, time, email address, full name, phone number, identification document, document number)

   (iv) Accept terms and conditions then click on “To send”tab.

   (v) You will receive details of your appointment, indicating that it has been taken into account by the CGI.

   (vi) Alternative you can call the CGI toll free number 1320 or (+225) 21006929 to make the booking appointment or for inquires.

3. File your applicant

   (i) Visit the regional integrated Service Management Center (CGI) office, you had book an appointment with at the specific date and time.

   (ii) Approach the Department of transportation service desk and express your interest, fill out the application form accurately.

   (iii) Pick the control ticket service number and wait for your ticket number to be called.

   (iv) Submit the completed form along with the supporting documents (listed below) to the attending official for verification and processing.

   (v) Payment the application fees at the in-house bank, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.

4. Collect your driver’s licence

• After lodging the application the drivers licence will be ready for collection within one month, revisit the CGI office you had initially file the application with your identification document and collect your license.

1. Valid identification document (original)

   • National identity card or the identity certificate accompanied by the enrollment receipt For CNI for nationals.
   • The ECOWAS member country consular card and the country's national identity card Of origin for ECOWAS nationals.
   • Refugee card.
   • The driving license existing in the unique database of the Ministry of Transport;
   • The resident card for nationals of countries outside ECOWAS.

2. A legible photocopy of the certificate of aptitude for the theoretical examination of the permit to drive (presentation of the original)
3. A legible photocopy of the certificate (s) of aptitude for the practical examination driver's license, (presentation of original).
4. A legible photocopy of the registration certificate (presentation of the original)
