Isle Of Man - Obtain Certificate of Fact


Procedure

  1. Submit your request for a Certificate of Fact to the Companies Registry. You may send your requisition forms by emailing it to companies@gov.im. Certificates can also be ordered over the phone by calling +44 1624 689389.
  2. You must pay for the certificate when you submit your request. If you require the certificate posting, or will not be paying on collection, payment can be made using a major credit or debit card. Note: American Express is not accepted.
  3. On an average, requests are processed and the certificate is issued within 48 (business) hours.
    You can also have your certificate issued within 3 hours after receipt of request.

The office is closed until 11am on the first Wednesday of every month for staff training.

Fees

  • Standard cost : 50 for each certificate
  • Priority service: 100 per certificate

A 2% administration charge will be added to all payments by credit card (1 per Certificate, 2 per Certificate for priority service).

The Certificate of Fact contains these following information:

  • company number
  • company name
  • incorporation date
  • registered office
  • current officers
  • The certificate will also state any:
    • strike-off action pending
    • previous names
    • appointment of any liquidator / receiver
    • notice of no authority to maintain registered office
  • Upon request, the certificate may also state the:
    • shareholders
    • last annual return date
    • mortgages/charges filed against the company
