1. Go to a Registrar. You may attend the Douglas or Peel Civil Registry or use the registration service operated by Ramsey Town Commissioners at Ramsey Town Hall.
2. Submit required documents.
3. Complete and sign this form: http://www.gov.im/lib/docs/registries/civil/noticeofmarriageform.pdf Notice of Marriage Form].
4. The Notice of Marriage Form will be placed in the Notice Book which can be inspected by the public at any time during office hours.
5. If there will be no objections within 7 full consecutive days, a Certificate for Marriage is issued. The marriage ceremony can now take place.

• dissolution of the marriage or civil partnership or any documentary evidence of the freedom to marry (if previously married)
• valid photographic ID
• proof of residence dated within the last 3 months
• certified copies of your birth certificate and change of name documentation (if applicable)

• If ages between 16-18, parental consent is required.
• Must have resided at your place of residence for at least 7 clear days.
