Iowa - Obtain a Divorce Certificate
Procedure
Apply via Agent
In Person Visit the District Court Clerks' Office in the county where the divorce was granted.
Request a copy of divorce certificate from the clerk.
Provide the full information as much as you can about the divorce record.
By Mail Mail a written letter with a self-addressed stamped envelope and a copy of your government issued photo identification to the clerks of Districts offices in the county where the divorce was granted.
Required Documents
A valid government-issued picture identification which bears your signature. (Note: If you are not the registrant or the parent named on the certificate, you must also bring proof of eligibility.)
