A direct interest is defined as a documented personal financial or legal interest in the record, or immediate kinship (parent, grandparent, or adult sibling ) to the person named on the record.
Certified copies of death certificates are available from the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) or from the local health department in the county where the event occurred on a walk-in basis.
