Indiana - File Exhibit and Witness List (Court)


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To File Exhibit and Witness List (Court), the applicant has to visit the U.S District court link
    NOTE: Search by address, city, state or ZIP Code and click the “Location” button.
  2. The applicant has to download the application form from the following link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the U.S court.
  7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. The process will be intimate by the department or the average time is up to 2 weeks.

  • Documents that are formally produced at the stage of evidence are given an identity which is referred to as Exhibits or witness.




Information which might help

  • Witness, the parties wish to produce, and to be examined, has to be produced before the court. Both the parties to the suit shall file a list of witness within 15 days from the date on which issues were framed or within such other period as the court may prescribe.
  • The documents which are produced at the stage of evidence and given nomenclature by using alphabets and numbers for identification are referred to as exhibits and marks.
