• If in case a current PIO card holder has been issued with a new passport. Whenever expiry of the current passport while PIO card is still valid. Applicant needs to apply for the service of endorsement of new passport details on PIO card.
• All the immigration offices have duly been informed by the Government of India that they should affix a ‘Lifelong’ stamp to endorse as and when the holder of a 15 year validity card enters/exits any Indian Airport.
  
  

Apply In-Person

1. Applicant shall apply in person to the Indian Mission/Post/Office in whose jurisdiction the applicant is residing.

3. Go to the respective office. Obtain the required application form if any. Submit your completed application along with required documents to the authority and follow their guidelines to initiate the process.
4. This application will be processed further to endorse your OCI. The document will be delivered as per applicable mode.

• Copy of present valid passport (applicable in all cases), with validity of minimum 6 months at the time of submission of application.

• Evidence of address of the place of application (Electricity bill / Telephone bill)

• In case of applications filed in India, get demand draft for the said amount drawn in favour of

“Pay and Accounts officer (Secretariat), Ministry of Home Affairs” payable at New Delhi.

  • For anyone under 21 years of age and over 50 years of age, they have to apply for new OCI all over again every time they get a new passport.
