India - Apply for Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, the applicant has to approach the nearby Vaccination centre link
  2. The applicant has to contact the selected Yellow Fever Vaccination Center to schedule an appointment for vaccination. Some centers may also offer walk-in services, but it's advisable to confirm in advance.
  3. On the scheduled date and time, visit the Yellow Fever Vaccination Center.
  4. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer or it can be downloaded from the link
  5. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  6. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  7. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  8. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  9. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee of Rs. 300
  10. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  11. At the vaccination center, a qualified healthcare professional will administer the Yellow Fever vaccine. They will provide the applicant with an International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) after administering the vaccine.
  12. Ensure that the ICVP the applicant receive includes all the necessary details, such as his/her name, date of vaccination, the signature of the administering healthcare professional, and the stamp of the center. Verify the accuracy of the information before leaving the center.
  13. This entire process can be completed within 2 – 3 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

  • Anyone who is planning to travel to a country that requires a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is eligible to apply for the certificate in India.
  • There are no age restrictions for the vaccine, and it is safe for most people.
  • However, there are a few exceptions, such as people who are allergic to the vaccine or who have a weakened immune system.
