If you are outside Hungary:
You (or your relatives) may send your certificate request by mail to the Hungarian Embassy of your country of residence. In this case, the certificate request has to be notarized by a Hungarian Honorary Consul or by a notary public registered with the Hungarian Embassy.

After you have submitted your request to the Consular Service Section it will be forwarded to the competent Hungarian authority. Generally, it takes about 3-4 months to obtain the document, and you will be notified by the Embassy if your certificate is ready for pick up.
