1. To make temporary registration of a vehicle in Haryana the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

4. Make sure you have completed application form Form-20. Application form can be obtained from the following link : form 20
   
5. Sales certificate in Form 21.: form 21
   
6. Road worthiness certificate in Form 22 from the manufacturers.: form 22
   
7. Pollution under control and road worthiness certificate in Form-22 A, where body is fabricated: form 22A
   
8. Also make sure you have all the necessary documents to process the application
   
9. Application forms can also be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
   
10. Present the completed application forms along with documents in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
    
11. Pencil tracing of engine chassis number is the activity to record the chassis number in the RTO register and further processing will complete temporary registration process
    
    

Apply Online:

1. For temporary Vehicle Registration, use the following Link : Link and select “Permit Online” option under Other online services
2. Now Select Haryana in the drop down menu and click “proceed”
3. Please follow the screen and fill in prompted details to process your online procedure
4. Upload required documents and take printout of acknowledgement.
5. On the appointment date, go to RTO office before 11:30 am and submit the documents.
6. Once you submit and pay the fee, rest of the procedure will happen as per the processing time.

Apply through Centres:

1. For Temporary Vehicle Registration in Haryana, the applicant shall visit the nearest EDisha / Antyodaya Saral Kendra. Find contacts to EDISHA / ANTYODAYA SARAL KENDRA centres in the Link provided: Link
2. The applicant may also sign in through the web portal mentioned above and provide the required information for the process.
3. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the registration.
4. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
5. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
6. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
7. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the edisha centre.
8. Obtain the new permit from the concerned office.

6. Proof of address (any one of the following): Ration Card / Electoral Roll / LIC Policy / Affidavit sworn by the applicant before an Executive or First Class Judicial

8. Original Sales Certificate from the concerned Authorities in Form 21 in the case of Ex_Army Vehicle.
   
9. Customs Clearance Certificate in the case of Imported Vehicles.
   
10. Bonafide agriculture certificate issued by the Thaasildhaar in case of registration of Tractor-Trailer unit used for agriculture. In case of trailer or a semi-trailer, design approval proceedings issued by Commissioner for Transport to be produced.

No person shall drive any Motor Vehicle and no owner of Motor Vehicle shall cause or permit the vehicle to be driven in any public place or any other place, unless the vehicle is Registered in accordance with Chapter 4 of IMV Act 1988.

1. All the vehicles need to be registered as per the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988. The vehicles are provided with unique registration number. Once the vehicle is registered, a certificate is issued to the owner. The registration certificate is used as a proof for authorized owner of the vehicle.
   
2. Vehicle registration's purpose is to establish clear ownership and to tax motorist or vehicle owners. It is a requirement by the state.
   
3. Since the registration process is long therefore on buying the new vehicle the owner is provided with temporary registration number due to his expectations (Auspicious day, festival, Body fabrication etc…) which is valid for one month from date of sale and during the said period the owner himself should get his vehicle permanently registered with RTO concerned
   
4. When a bike owned by an individual sold to another person – the name transfer has to be made with the authorities concerned
   
   

• One who wishes to sell his or her vehicle should make sure that the proper name transfer in RC is carried out
  
• Temporary registration shall be valid only for a month and it shall not be renewable.
